A Letter from Art Lange
Dear Friend:
This year was a good one for dried fruit. Our methods have improved as has our available varieties such as plums, apricots, and particularly the pluots (apricot x plum hybrids). We still don't have heavy crops of pluots so our prices for these are a little higher. All of our costs are up, i.e. labor, electricity and fuel. Small farmers like myself should probably go fishing, but I am stubborn and think I have a special product much better than the "big boys", including the supermarkets. So this fall I have listed my winter's products for you.
Please call or fax me. Tell me what you like, i.e. tart plums, sweet white nectarines, low acid peaches, etc. Leave a message asking for my literature and a sample if you can't get in touch. Note my address and the phone numbers above.
And remember, Dr. Dean Edel says dried fruit is an excellent source of nutrition and fiber!
Sincerely,Art Lange
